When people think of vegan food, they often assume that it’s expensive, time-consuming, difficult to get hold of and ultimately pretty dull. The aim of this blog is to show that it can actually be cheap, quick to prepare, easy to find and delicious.
I am a keen cook and love creating my own recipes. But I have very little time and not an excessive amount of money. I will share what I eat on a regular basis and hope to provide a resource for anyone who wants to prepare a vegan meal. Maybe you are a longstanding animal-free expert, a new vegan wondering what to eat, or someone who wants to try out a vegan meal every now and again. As far as I’m concerned, every single vegan meal is a great thing for animals.
I will share my own recipes, but also other people’s and maybe even the odd vegan ready meal. Vegan food is generally healthy, but not all of it, so you can expect to find pizza, ice cream, chocolate and all the usual culprits in animal-free form. The guidelines will be fairly approximate, as people who don’t have much time to cook probably won’t want to be weighing 33.5 grams of icing sugar or counting out nine basil leaves. The focus will be on quick meals, but I occasionally have more time so may include the odd recipe that takes a little longer. I understand that some people quite literally never have time to spend cooking though, so I’ll always be including a speedy version.
Feedback is much appreciated, and do let me know if there’s a great speedy recipe I should be including. Happy reading, cooking and eating 🙂
